When you play Minecraft, do you ever get frustrated at all the Mobs (Skeletons, Zombies, Spiders etc...) near your yard and housing area? Do they always cause mischief and harass you at night when your trying to work on stuff? Do you have a lot of iron ingots from mining? Then there is a solution to this problem. You can just build an Iron Golem. What these guys do is if there is a Mob near the area the Iron Golem is in, it will fight the mob (accept Creepers) and kill them! These guys have a ton of health (Around 32 hearts) so you don't have to worry about them dying. Now your probably wandering how do I make this "Iron Golem"? Well I'm about to tell you. Note to keep one around your house, you'll need to plant some trees or build a 2 tall block fence around the area, this way the Golem can't leave the area. You may find these guys in big villages. They are naturally spawn there is there are 20 villagers and they protect them from the Zombie sieges. To make one you will need the following:
- 4 blocks of Iron (each block has 9 Iron Ingots in them)
- 1 pumpkin
Once you got these items, your ready to build this beast! To build it you need to to this:
- Place 2 iron blocks vertical (two blocks tall)
- on the 2nd block place 1 iron block to both sides
- on the top of the mid block at the top, place a pumpkin as it's head
This will create an Iron Golem.
